How do I add Holid.io’s ads.txt or app-ads.txt to my site?

Follow the below steps to implement ads.txt and app-ads.txt. You may need to contact your Hosting company for further instructions.
If you are using WordPress, you may use an ads.txt add-on (there are many, search for ads.txt).

If you are not using WordPress, follow the steps listed here:

  • Log in to your Holid.io-account
  • Depending on if you are going to perform changes for your site or app:
    • For uploading ads.txt to your site: Click on Sites, and:
      • Click My ads.txt rows next to the site for which you want to get the latest rows.
      • Open up the Holid.io ads.txt rows box.
      • Create a new “.txt”-file on your computer and copy-paste the rows from your Holid.io account.
      • Save the file as “ads.txt” and/or make sure that the file name is “ads.txt”.
    • For uploading ads.txt to your app: Click on Apps, and:
      • Click My app-ads.txt rows next to the app for which you want to get the latest rows.
      • Open up the Holid.io app-ads.txt rows box.
      • Create a new “.txt”-file on your computer and copy-paste the rows from your Holid.io account.
      • Save the file as “app-ads.txt” and/or make sure that the file name is “app-ads.txt”.
  • Upload the rows:
    • For uploading ads.txt to your site: Upload this to the root of your domain where you will show ads, so that it is accessible on yourdomain.com/ads.txt.
    • For uploading ads.txt to your app:  Upload this to the root of your app's developer website (adjusted in your app store settings for Google Play and Apple App store) on for example devsite.com/app-ads.txt.
  • Verify that the rows are added:
    • For uploading ads.txt to your site: Amend /ads.txt to the end of your website's URL.  You might need to clear your cache in order to see the rows live.
    • For uploading ads.txt to your app:  Amend /app-ads.txt to the end of your developer website's URL.  You might need to clear your cache in order to see the rows live.
