Connecting GA4 to Holid.io

This article goes through how to connect Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to Holid.io

By enabling a connection between Holid.io and GA4, you make sure to both

- Be able to follow your site analytics data via Holid.io, instead of keeping track in two systems

- Get consequent tips from Holid.io on how to improve your ad setup for higher revenue

Make sure your Google Analytics is set up to GA4 before connecting.

Connecting GA4 with Holid.io

  • Log in to your Google Analytics account.
  • While in the Google Analytics dashboard, select which property for which you are providing access (next to the Analytics logo).
  • Navigate to the Admin section (gear icon) in the bottom left corner.
  • Navigate to Property, and then Property access management.
  • Click the icon, followed by Add users.
  • Now, enter Holid.io's Google service account as email: holidio@holidio.iam.gserviceaccount.com
  • Let the Role selection be Viewer and click Add.

After that:

  • Navigate to Property, and then Property details.
  • In the top right corner of this settings page, you will see your PROPERTY ID:, followed by a series of numbers. Copy these numbers.
  • Log in to your Holid.io account.
  • Navigate to Optimization, click on Enable Google Analytics 4 connection.
  • Add the PROPERTY ID from GA4 under the GA4 Property ID-input in Holid.io field for your site, matching with the property from Google Analytics. 
  • Click the small Save-icon to the right of the input field.
  • You're done!
  • Repeat the process for all the properties you wish to connect with Holid.io.

GA4 analytics will only be added to Holid.io for those sites which are already added and approved in Holid.io.

Using Holid.io with your GA4 data

Holid.io fetches new GA4 connections every 5 hours, and fetches data for the last 4 days. 

  • Log in to your Holid.io account.
  • Navigate to Reports.
  • Use the filtering tools and select a site.
  • You will see a selection of data points in the graph.
