Ad viewability and Lazy load

Learn more about your site's ad viewability statistics and how to increase them with lazy load

When an ad is rendered on a page, it can either be viewable or not viewable to the user. As the user scrolls, non-viewable ads becomes viewed, often times resulting in a higher CPM paid from advertisers. Thus, your site's ad viewability statistics may influence your revenue, and working to adjust them will end up with a higher viewability percentage and perhaps also higher revenue in the end.

Holid.io's recommended lazy load settings for a standard site is to fetch ads 1.5 screens or viewports before the user is reaching the ad spots, and to render or show the ad 0.5 screens or viewports before the user reaches the ad spots. In other words, ad spots in the first viewport will always show immediately, but ads further down on the page will render a bit later, and show to users as they scroll downwards.
